The School of Nursing

The School of Nursing was established on 15th December 2006 to commemorate Her Royal Highness the late Princess Mother, “Princess Srinagarindra Mahidol”, who was known as “Mae Fah Luang” and in recognition of her exemplary contribution toward progress and advancement in the fields of Nursing / Midwifery and social services. The beloved Princess Mother was graduated from a nursing program and all through her life time had dedicatedly worked very hard to elevate health status and quality of life of the Thai people.

The School of Nursing aims at educating quality nursing personnel to meet health workforce need of the country at both basic and advanced levels and promoting excellence in research to improve nursing services and solving national health problems. The school will be also serving as continuing education center for nurses, midwives, and health personnel of the country as well as neighboring countries. This newly established school makes significant contribution to the expansion of higher educational opportunity for the young people in the North of Thailand and Thailand as a whole.



The school of Nursing, Mae Fah Luang University is a leading nursing academic institution which will recognized national and internationally that produce quality graduated nurses. This school is a continuing education center for nursing and health in the upper north region of Thailand and the Mae Kong sub region and serves as a light to direct the society’s health. The school has fours function; education, research, community services and culture conservation.
