Mae Fah Luang University School of Nursing and University Hospital Bonn Sign Memorandum of Agreement to Advance Global Nursing Collaboration
January 31, 2025-The School of Nursing at Mae Fah Luang University (MFU SON) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with University Hospital Bonn (UKB), Germany, to strengthen international collaboration in nursing education and professional practice. Representing UKB were Mr. Alexander Pröbstl, Nursing Director of the Board of Nursing and Patient Services, and Ms. Maria Hesterberg, Recruiting and Qualification Specialist for International Nursing Staff. The signing ceremony was presided over by Assistant Professor Dr. Matchima Naradisorn, President of MFU, and Professor Dr. Sujitra Wongkasemjit, Vice President. The MoA was officially signed by Assistant Professor Dr. Chompunut Sopajaree, Dean of MFU SON, and Mr. Alexander Pröbstl, with Dr. Pimrat Boonyapuk, Vice Dean, and Dr. Piyatida Junlapeeya, Chair of the Internationalization Committee, also in attendance.
Prior to the signing, discussions led by Dr. Chompunut Sopajaree, Dr. Piyatida Junlapeeya, and members of the Internationalization Committee focused on expanding academic and professional collaborations. As part of the visit, UKB representatives engaged with third- and fourth-year MFU nursing students, offering insights into student exchange programs, career pathways, and training opportunities in Germany. This session further reinforced the shared commitment of both institutions to preparing globally competent nursing professionals.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in advancing international nursing education and cross-border healthcare collaboration. The agreement highlights the shared vision of MFU SON and UKB to cultivate skilled nursing professionals through academic exchange and clinical training opportunities.
