Mae Fah Luang University School of Nursing's Recent Visit to Chung Shan Medical University Fosters Collaboration.

From May 26 to 29, 2024, the Dean of Mae Fah Luang University School of Nursing (MFU-SoN), Assistant Prof. Dr. Chompunut Sopajaree, and the Head of International Affairs, Dr. Piyatida Junlapeeya, visited the Department of Nursing, College of Medicine, Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan. The visit aimed to review academic resources for next year’s student exchange from MFU-SoN to the Department of Nursing and to explore further collaborative activities.

The Department of Nursing and MFU-SoN have engaged in collaborative activities since 2019 and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2023. These activities include co-hosting an international conference organized by MFU-SoN and a Student Exchange Program from the Department of Nursing to MFU-SoN. During this visit, MFU-SoN representatives toured teaching and training venues, discussed the integration of technology in teaching and learning, explored research collaboration, and planned the Student Exchange Program for the 2025 academic year.

While at Chung Shan Medical University, the MFU-SoN representatives met with Professor Dr. Chien-Ning Huang, President of Chung Shan Medical University; Professor Dr. Yeh Chao-Bin, Dean of the College of Medicine; Professor Dr. Kan-Jen Tsai, Dean of the Office of International Affairs; Professor Dr. Shu-Hsin Lee, Chair of the Department of Nursing; and Associate Prof. Dr. Yen-Chiao Lu, the International Relations Coordinator. Additionally, the six prospective students who will attend MFU-SoN in July 2024 were introduced.
