เมื่อวันที่ 5 สิงหาคม 2569 สำนักวิชาพยาบาลศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง จัดการประชุมปฐมนิเทศก่อนการเดินทาง (Pre-departure Orientation) ในรูปแบบออนไลน์ เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมให้แก่ Asst. Prof. Dr. Claire McKinley Yoder และนักศึกษาพยาบาลจาก Oregon Health & Science University School of Nursing (OHSU) ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ก่อนเข้าร่วมโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนด้านวิชาการ ณ สำนักวิชาพยาบาลศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ระหว่างวันที่ 15–30 สิงหาคม 2569

การประชุมดำเนินการโดย อาจารย์ ดร.ปิยธิดา จุลละปีย ประธาน และ อาจารย์กุลนรา มณีคันธ์วงษ์ เลขานุการคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมความเป็นนานาชาติ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อแนะนำข้อมูลด้านวิชาการ การใช้ชีวิตในจังหวัดเชียงราย รวมถึงการเตรียมความพร้อมสำหรับการเรียนรู้และการฝึกประสบการณ์ในบริบทของระบบสุขภาพไทย เพื่อให้นักศึกษาเกิดความเข้าใจในวัฒนธรรม ระบบบริการสุขภาพ และสภาพแวดล้อมการเรียนรู้ของประเทศไทยก่อนเริ่มโครงการ

โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนดังกล่าวดำเนินงานภายใต้บันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (Memorandum of Understanding: MOU) ระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงและ Oregon Health & Science University ซึ่งมีเป้าหมายในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษา การวิจัย และการพัฒนาศักยภาพของนักศึกษาและคณาจารย์ ผ่านการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ ประสบการณ์ และการเรียนรู้ในบริบทนานาชาติ

กิจกรรมครั้งนี้สะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นของสำนักวิชาพยาบาลศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ในการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือกับสถาบันการศึกษาชั้นนำระดับนานาชาติ พร้อมส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ข้ามวัฒนธรรม การแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ และการพัฒนาสมรรถนะด้านการพยาบาลในระดับสากล เพื่อเตรียมบัณฑิตให้พร้อมก้าวสู่การเป็นบุคลากรวิชาชีพที่สามารถปฏิบัติงานได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพในสังคมโลก

ความสอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (Sustainable Development Goals: SDGs)

กิจกรรมนี้สนับสนุนการบรรลุเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ดังนี้

• SDG 4: Quality Education ส่งเสริมการศึกษาที่มีคุณภาพผ่านการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวิชาการ การเรียนรู้ในบริบทนานาชาติ และการพัฒนาสมรรถนะของนักศึกษา
• SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals ส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในระดับนานาชาติ เพื่อพัฒนาการศึกษา การวิจัย และการสร้างเครือข่ายทางวิชาการอย่างยั่งยืน

On 5 August 2026, the School of Nursing, Mae Fah Luang University, conducted an online Pre-departure Orientation for Asst. Prof. Dr. Claire McKinley Yoder and nursing students from the Oregon Health & Science University School of Nursing (OHSU), USA, in preparation for their academic exchange program at the School of Nursing, Mae Fah Luang University, from 15–30 August 2026.

The orientation was led by Dr. Piyathida Chullapeeya, Chair, and Ms. Kulnara Maneekhanwong, Secretary of the Internationalization Committee. The session introduced participants to academic information, daily life in Chiang Rai, and essential preparations for learning and clinical experiences within the Thai healthcare system. It also provided valuable insights into Thai culture, healthcare services, and the University's learning environment to ensure a smooth and meaningful exchange experience.

The exchange program is conducted under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Mae Fah Luang University and Oregon Health & Science University. The partnership aims to strengthen collaboration in education, research, and faculty and student development through international academic exchange and shared learning experiences.

This activity reflects the School of Nursing's strong commitment to expanding international partnerships with leading universities worldwide while promoting intercultural learning, academic collaboration, and the development of global nursing competencies. Such initiatives prepare future nursing professionals to thrive in an increasingly interconnected global healthcare environment.
